I was thinking the other day of a way we could all as a country get together and help the Gulf of Mexico recover from the tragic oil spill. We could all take our vacations down in the gulf, in an affected area. There are volunteers needed to help clean up oil from the beaches. The business need revenue to stay open. This would be great for a family to do, the kids would not only learn a valuable lesson, that would last a lifetime, the businesses would be getting much needed business, the hotels, the restaurants of the area are open and ready for you. We can all sit around and complain about things not getting done or we could do something about it. If every family that was to vacation this year made the effort, the impact could be tremendous. And after a day or two of picking up oil off the beaches, the rest of the vacation would be yours to explore the area and rich history of the Gulf states.
